When you’re younger, you have no concept of reality- of what it means to be an adult, of how evil the world is, how repetitive and soulless routine becomes. It really is a wonderful time of life. You see the world through these pure eyes as this magnificent and beautiful thing.

Yet as you come into adulthood, the very things that aren’t worth a shit are the things we want to parade around. We work on our careers through degrees and jobs, obtaining what some guys in suits somewhere decided we needed to be successful- all the while neglecting the beautiful things and people that truly make living worth it.

You know what I’m tired of? Merely existing.

Because I was made for something great, something beautiful, something meaningful. I was made for better than merely existing.
